You try a new diet, you get a new job, or you start a relationship hoping it brings peace. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But deep down, you don't really know why.
We live on assumptions. But our ancient Rishis (Sages) didn't like guessing. They wanted Absolute Truth.
So, they built a mental algorithm called अन्वय-व्यतिरेक (Anvaya-Vyatireka). It is the ultimate 2-step test to distinguish "Real" from "Fake."
Imagine you want to know if "Object A" is the true cause of "Result B."
*Literal meaning: Following, Agreement.*The Question: "If A is present, is B always present?"
Example: If there is Fire (अग्नि), is there Heat (ऊष्मा)? Answer: YES. 🔥 = 🥵
*Literal meaning: Exclusion, Absence.*The Question: "If A is absent, is B definitely absent?"
Example: If there is No Fire, is there No Heat (from that source)? Answer: YES. 🚫🔥 = 🚫🥵
